Six people have been rescued after suffering injuries while left stranded at Mornington Beach.
Drogheda Coast Guard, revealed on their Facebook page, that they received a call at around a quarter to three yesterday afternoon of 3 children stranded at the rocks on the beach’s South Training Wall.
A further three people were discovered at the rocks, including a member of the public who had swam out to help.
All six were brought to shore, where they were treated by awaiting ambulances.
Drogheda Coast Guard was assisted by Clogherhead RNLI, Skerries RNLI and Rescue 116 at the scene.
