It’s a case of all good things coming in threes for top notch plumbing firm Greenline.
Based on the Mullaghboy Industrial estate on Navan’s Athboy road, the three amigos of Ray Purfield, David Bates and Colm McMahon are celebrating their third anniversary today as it was on July 24th in 2017 they first opened their doors and began supplying plumbing essentials to both trade and public.
And today they are hosting a ‘Thank You day’ for all their loyal customers who have supported them from start up.
Indeed if ever the motto ‘Keep the customer satisfied’ was applied to a business it would be most appropriate as a Greenline tagline, something best illustrated by the fact the company won the ‘Customer Service’ accolade at Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2019
McMahon and Bates are plumbers themselves, so they know the game inside out, but it is Purfield’s name that may ring a bell with the general public especially the sporting fans.
He’s the store manager at Greenline now but his original gig was as a jockey with the legendary trainer Peter Casey back in his native Stamullen, the stable being forever associated with the top class chaser Flemenstar.
A handy operator over brush fences and hurdles, Purfield spends his time these days overcoming obstacles in the business world, although like the entire nation he was not prepared for the Covid19 pandemic.
He told Meath Live, ‘ Overall business is good but like everyone else we have taken a hit with Covid 19, we didn’t think it was going to hit here in Ireland at the outset but we are plugging away.
‘Look the bottom line is we know the plumbing game, “David and Colm have been in business together for a long time and as plumbers themselves, they know exactly what plumbers want from their supplier.
‘Having previously worked for Navan Hire and Commons Hardware for 17 years combined, I was well-known in the trade. We hit the ground running and haven’t looked back.
As it’s our third anniversary today 24th July Greenline want to say a big thank you to all our customers and if they can’t get into us they can call us on 046 9032533 and we’ll look after them’
