A stabbing, which is believed to be as a result of a drugs related incident, took place near Johnstown shopping centre on Wednesday night last.

One man was slightly injured as a result of the assault, which Meath Live understands centred on the sale of drugs to youngsters in the area.

A Garda spokesman said, ‘Gardaí attended an incident of assault at Johnstown, Navan last night, Wednesday 22nd July 2020, at approximately 10:30pm.

‘A male in his 30s suffered non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
