Aldi Ireland received planning permission for building and opening a store in Dunshaughlin back in March of this year.
They initially planned to open in the early months of 2020. However, with the COVID-19 lockdown, their plans to open the store were pushed back.
The Dunshaughlin store is expected to open before the end of February next year 2021.
The store will be located on Lagore Road close to Main St and will be 1,152 square metres. It will be constructed by Aldi’s award-winning Project Fresh design.
What’s more, the store will be powered by 100% green electricity. Aldi has said that the opening of the store means that 20 new permanent jobs will be created.
Aldi is planning to open three other new stores over the next six months which will create a total of 80 jobs.
The supermarket chain will be opening stores in Rathnew in County Wicklow, Blanchardstown and Sutton in County Dublin.
