In the past 48 hours, six new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in County Meath bringing the total number of cases for the county to 884.
93 new cases of COVID-19 nationwide were reported yesterday evening with no new deaths.
This brings the new total number of COVID-19 cases in the Republic of Ireland to 28,453 and the total number of deaths for the country is now 1,777.
The Department of Health reported yesterday afternoon that there are an additional 69 new cases in Northern Ireland bringing the total figure of cases there to 6,964.
There has also been another Covid-related death reported in Northern Ireland bringing the total figure to 560.
The Department of Health has said that the coronavirus R number is between 1.0 to 1.6.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control’s latest figures reveal that Ireland’s 14-day incidence of cases per 100,000 people stands at 31.1. Just a week ago the 14-day incidence of cases stood at 25.4.
