GAA All-Star Graham Geraghty has ‘surpassed everyone’s expectations’ in his recovery after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

The Meath football legend who underwent lengthy surgery just a few weeks ago is now talking and has taken a few steps, according to a Facebook post by his wife Amanda who says his recovery is going really well.

He was transferred from Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital where he underwent intensive surgery under the supervision of top neuro-surgeon Dr Paul Brennan on October 29th.

Although his wife says he  still has a long road ahead of him, she says he wants to thank everyone for all their prayers and acts of kindness towards her and his children.

The 47-year old All-Star and dad of four who lives near Athboy won an All-Ireland title with Meath in 1996 and captained the team to another victory three years later.
