Birds SuperValu in Navan’s Beechmount shopping centre have confirmed that a number of staff members have tested positive for Covid-19.
This is the second outbreak in the premises, the first occurring last August when one staff member was tested positive and another deemed to be a close contact.
The store management went through all the proper protocols with the HSE at the time and it remained open at all times.
Birds , via top Dublin PR firm. Edelman issued the following statement to Meath Live this morning.
‘The health of our customers and colleagues continues to be our top priority. We can confirm that three colleagues at the store tested positive for COVID-19 a number of weeks ago. It is important to note that no other colleagues are deemed to be close contacts. We notified the HSE about the cases and conducted a deep clean as a precautionary measure. The HSE is satisfied with the social distancing and sanitisation measures in place at the store, as well as giving permission for the store to continue to operate as normal’.
