The Justice Minister says Brian Stanley should come before the Dáil and answer questions about his controversial posts on social media.

The Sinn Féin TD apologised on Wednesday for a tweet in which he referenced incidents from the War of Independence and the Troubles.

Mr Stanley also said he had nothing to apologise for over a tweet in 2017 which seemed to refer to Leo Varadkar’s sexuality after he was elected leader of Fine Gael.
