Day 1 reflections; ‘There is always one, THANK GOD, there is always one, and yesterday the little genius that is Jack Kennedy did us a favour.

‘Shiskin, Honeysuckle and Appreciate It had already done the business for the enemy and for all but the last stride or two it looked like Concertista was about to make it four well backed winners on the day until Jack, God bless him, edged Black Tears ahead.’

David’s dreading; ‘A bit like yesterday there are a few we’d rather see get beat, Monkfish, Chacun Pour Soi and Easyland would be big losers for us and all three are likely winners to be fair. There would be sentimental money on Tiger Roll as well but I can’t see that winning, if the horse was still at the top of hos form they’d send it to the National weight or no weight’

David’s dreaming; ‘That Easyland gets turned over as of today’s big three I think he is the one most likely to lose, the cross country is an open enough race and back to back wins in it don’t happen that often.’
