Delighted drinkers will be drawn to Julianstown this weekend, as the Limekiln Gastropub has put take away pints and cocktails back on the menu. While it won’t be the normal pub experience not many customers can complain about a perfectly poured pint delivered at their doorstep.
This comes after a legal loophole which has allowed pubs to sell takeaway pints without Garda interference. A Garda Spokesperson on the 7th of March stated “the sale of take away alcohol from licensed premises is not currently a penal regulation and therefore not an offence”. Patient pub owners who have seen their doors repeatedly open and close during this Covid19 pandemic, have been using this opportunity to serve their customers their long-awaited pints.
The Limekiln have decided to start this weekend. You can choose from cold pints of Guinness and Coors light or try one of their tasty signature cocktails such as their Lambay Lemonade, Mojito, Raspberry Gin Fizz or even their Cocktail of the week- you will only know if you try.
The Limekiln encourages people to support local. You can order from 2pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday by phone, 0419829001. Sláinte
