Evan Ferguson from Bettystown bagged two super strikes for Brighton and Hove Albion under 23s in a closely fought clash with Liverpool last Saturday.

So far so normal, but the real story is that Ferguson, son of former League Of Ireland star, Barry, is just sixteen years of age and has made such strodes since he signed for the Seagulls that he has jumped two age levels already.

Ferguson netted in the fifth and fifty seventh minute against the Reds, although it ended up not being much help as Brighton lost 3-2 but only after the Meath lad was denied a hat trick by a good save late on.
