Drogheda United continued their encouraging start to the new League of Ireland Premier Division season last night.

The Boynesiders came away with a resounding 4-0 win over fellow promotion side Longford Town.

Two Mark Doyle goals either side of half-time along with a Chris Lyons strike and a Hugh Douglas header ensured a first win for the Drogs at Bishopsgate since 2013.

The win moves Tim Clancy’s side up to fourth in the table
