Tayto Park, located in Ashbourne, has announced that it will officially reopen its zoo on the 30th April.

Entry to the zoo will be by pre-booked tickets only with time slots located on its website at www.TaytoPark.ie. Rides and other attractions at Tayto Park will not be opened until further notice.

There are over 300 animals and 80 different species and a variety of walk ways and trails for visitors to choose from. Visitors can also get up close and personal with some of the animals.

Tayto Park’s Outback Restaurant and Coffee Bistro will also be opened for take-aways only.

The Deputy Zoo Manager, Aisling Power said “The Tayto Park Zoo tram are really looking forward to welcoming back our visitors and friends in the coming weeks. Even though we’ve been closed it’s been a busy few months in the zoo, some of our new arrivals are very excited to meet some new faces!”.

This will be great news, especially for children who have seen everything close since Level 5 restrictions have been introduced. The new restrictions mean, that people living in Meath can travel anywhere in their county and those living outside of Meath can travel, as long as it is 20km from their house.
