He told Meath Live, ” This is positive news for Johnstown and is intended to lead to the start of work on the development of a Community Centre, Playing Pitch & playground in the heart of Johnstown.
‘I am heartened to hear that officials met with the landowner at the proposed site between Dunville Estate and the Educational Campus to discuss the progression of this project and the envisaged transfer of land for the people of Johnstown.
‘I have produced n illustration that shows clearly what can be done and as a public representative I feel obliged to push this after having many representations from local community groups such as Johnstown soccer club.’
‘A public consultation seeking views from all interested parties will take place later this year, which will provide the basis for the plan that will go for planning permission.
