Slane Fianna Fáil councillor Wayne Harding has welcomed the input of a local fisherman group and the local authority into improved safety measures at a popular swimming spot in the East Meath village.
He posted on Facebook, ‘As the country comes out of lockdown and vaccines are rolled out at a growing rate, people will visit bathing beauty spots all over the country. With that comes risks.
‘Thanks to Slane Bridge anglers and Meath County Council for safety measures put in place at a well known bathing area in Slane. Stay safe, both on land and in the water’.
