This one from Brid O’Neill’s Reconnect book is an iconic east Meath image.

We’ll let Brid explain in her own words.

‘This is The Family Statue in Duleek

‘And behind it in the sky is what’s called a lenticular cloud – A stationary cloud that gives the appearance of a lens or a saucer… that’s as much as my meteorological experience I can give on them!!!
‘But they are rare enough and I’ve only seen a few over the years. They are lovely though and just sit in the sky without moving for a good while. This one appeared last December one afternoon and decided to hang about until sunset’.
