sun drenched Parnell Park as Jack Regan almost singlehandedly ensured that Nick Weir’s side retained their Joe McDonagh status for another season.

Regan was the hero of the day for the winners. After hitting 13 points in last Sunday’s win over Kerry the Kiltale star continued in a rich vein of form to score a massive 17 points as the Royals went on to win by 10.

Kildare led at the break 1-11 to 0-12 their goal coming from Jack Sheridan but Meath inspired by the accurate Regan gained controlled in the second half and went on to record a comfortable victory.
