Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan is to undergo a major revamp under new plans unveiled by the Government.

In what is seen as a major boost to the Save Navan Hospital campaign the second theatre at the hospital will be made operational for elective surgery and a larger recovery area is to be built.

Over 1.25 million euro in works will also be carried out to increase the size of inpatient wards and provide new washroom facilities.

It comes after a planning application was previously lodged for a new 35 million euro primary care centre beside the hospital grounds, which will be the largest in Ireland.
