Since the mid season break Tim Clancy’s Drogheda United have picked up just eight points from nine games, relegation form for sure, and last nights poor performance in the Brandywell did noting to ease such concerns.

Jamie McGonigle gave the hosts the lead seven minutes before half-time after Ronan Murray lost possession too easily in his own half and Joe Thompson’s pass sent the striker clear.

Daniel Lafferty made it two 20 minutes into the second half after the visitors failed to deal with a corner, and the same player wrapped up the points with a long range effort fifteen minutes from the finish.
