An ice cream salesman has been arrested in Ashbourne after cops searched his van and discovered a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine.

A Garda spokesman told Meath Live, ‘

Gardaí arrested a male aged in his 40s, following a search of a vehicle on the 1st August 2021 at approximately 2:30pm in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

‘A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized as a result of the search.

‘The male has since been charged and is due to appear before Trim District Court on the 7th September 2021.

‘Investigations are ongoing’.
