Legendary Laytown lad, Fergal, ‘Gegser’ Lynch is set to get on his bike on Saturday Seeptember 25th when he takes part in the Coast to the Curragh charity fundraiser to help a Cancer trials charity.

The cycle which Lynch, a former MDL Premier division winner with Stackallen Rovers, will begin in his home village is also in memory of the jockey Pat Smullen who died from Pancreatic Cancer a year ago.

He told Meath Live, ‘I am a big racing fan and was a huge admirer of Pat, the cycle takes us past seven different racecourses, between Laytown and the Curragh, which I’m sure will trigger some memories of Pats big win

Sponsorship cards are available from Fergal on 086 8984657 or donations can be made at https;//eventmaster.ie/fundraising/pages/FL43673440/
