LMFM is reporting that 31-year-old Emma Corcoran of St Colmcilles Villas, Kells was charged with breaking the pandemic regulations in place on April 22nd and May 17th of 2020.

Sergeant Tom Mahon told the court that that when Gardaí called to the defendant’s house, there were non-residents there on both occasions.

Ms. Corcoran was told on the first occasion that Tusla would be told about the alleged breaches as there were children present.

Sergeant Mahon also said that the Gardaí suffered verbal abuse from the defendant on the tow dates in question.

Judge Cormac Dunne said the offence was aggravated because of the second breach and imposed the fines on Ms. Corcoran – totalling €1,000.
