ALDI Ireland has issued an urgent recall notice for a baby carrier over fears that the straps could fail leading to a fall risk for children.

The voluntary recall applies to the Adventuridge Hiking Baby Carrier, (Pictured above), sold across its Irish shops.

A safety issue has been identified where a plastic disk that secures the child seat to the adult shoulder and waist straps may fail, and as a result, the child is less secure and may fall.

While the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission have confirmed that there have been no reports of injury, around 1,070 units of the carriers have been sold in Ireland and consumers are being told to stop using it immediately if you have purchased one of these products.
