Meath Live has been shown a letter from nine Ógra Fianna Fáil Comhairle Dáil Cheantair
(CDC) and College Cumanns.

They are calling for the impeachment of Uachtaráin Ógra Fianna Fáil,Bryan Mallon and for the removal from his role on the Ógra Fianna Fáil Central Officer
Board.Mallon, who is from Julianstown, Co Meath, was elected the president of Ógra Fianna Fáil on
the 27 th of March 2021, replacing past president, Tom Cahill.

Mallon previously told Meath Live that he “genuinely cares about the people of this country” and that he would do his best
to “improve their lives”.

The letter, which was sent to the Chair and Secretary of the National Council, reads as
follows:
“The following is the view of the membership, whose respective chairs have agreed to have their units put to this letter, that Uachtaráin Ógra Fianna Fáil Bryan Mallon should be impeached and removed from his role on the Ógra Fianna Fáil Central Office Board.

This decision was taken by these chairs after consultation with their membership at duly ratified meetings of their respective units.

One Ógra Fianna Fáil source told Meath Live, “over the last few months we have seen two female Central Officer Board (COB) officers resign, members have been kept in the dark as to why and the issues around Ógra has stemmed directly from members being fully informed.

Without clear leadership, the organisation has been brought to its knees and what was a once wonderful organisation is now a shadow of its former self”.

Another Ógra Fianna Fáil source told Meath Live, “We agreed to sign the letter as we felt that,Ógra was lacking in leadership and engagement from the President, and that it was time for change and to allow Ógra to move forward and work together to resolve any current organisational issues currently there”.

We have attempted to contact Bryan Mallon for comment, but no reply has been received at this stage.
