“The Government and the HSE need to act immediately to radically improve the PCR testing service as it’s just not good enough right now”, Eilish Balfe, Labour Party Local Area Representative for Ratoath has told Meath Live.
She was commenting on multiple contacts from people in Meath who simply couldn’t get appointments in Meath or Dublin.
“As ever, the community swabbers and vaccinators are doing a brilliant job but more coordination is needed from the top.”
“It’s very distressing for people and their families to be trying to get appointments without success. We’ve heard of cases where the relevant websites were not working.”
“There’s also the money aspect to this as employees need a PCR test to get sick pay.”
