Police in Denmark say the post mortem of the body of Peter Burns showed no sign of him being a victim of a crime.

The 29 year old from Dunboyne’s remains were found in the city of Aarhus on Monday after he went missing over six weeks ago.

He was last seen on CCTV footage in the early hours of Sunday December 5th following a night out with colleagues.

A post mortem was carried out on the body yesterday.

In a statement to LMFM News this afternoon, East Jutland Police say it’s believed he accidentally fell in the water.

A further autopsy is expected to be carried out next week to find the exact cause of death.
