Councillor Damien O’Reilly has welcomed the news that work on the planning of a new link road from the Dunboyne industrial estate has commenced.
He told Meath Live, ‘This is really good news – consultants are currently designing the link road for Dunboyne Industrial Estate link road to R157.
‘This work should be complete by the end of the second quarter of 2022.
‘This is to enhance the quality of life in the area, taking trucks out of village centre by providing an alternative route for commerce.
‘We can finally ban HGV’s from Dunboyne village except for those delivering to local businesses.
‘Part 8 planning application will then be lodged.’
