The fall out from the 2019 All Ireland football final in which Slane referee David Gough sent off Dublin’s Johnny Cooper and was subsequently criticised by RTE pundit Joe Brolly has emerged as a question on a mock Leaving Cert paper in a Dublin secondary school earlier today.

On a Physical Education paper under the heading Case Study, and the sub heading ‘Read below and answer the questions which follow’ an article centred on Gough’s revealing that Brolly had apologised for his comments is published.

Brolly has taken to twitter to express his disbelief saying, ‘I have now rung David to withdraw my apology’
