Aontú leader and chair of the Save Navan Hospital Campaign has told Meath Live he is ‘heartened’ by the huge turnout at last nights public meeting which was called to highlight the planned public protest in Navan on Saturday week July 9th,

Toíbin also called on Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly to be decisive in his actions.

He said, ‘The minister needs to either reassert his authority or insert his authority, right now we are all living in a twilight zone, you cannot have the minister and the HSE pulling in opposite directions

‘The number of people who showed up last night was heartening and it shows that the HSE has touched a raw nerve with the people of county Meath.’
