Friday night saw a large attendance on the flat evening card which saw the crowds out and about.

Whatever it is about the venue it retains a magical and magnetic appeal to the local community .

The night also hosted the best dressed person sponsored by Scotch Hall Shopping Centre.

The racing is good you’ll see all the big names they are trying to win along with the local heroes doing it for the crowd.

Then there is the carnival atmosphere something for the kids big and small. Plenty of music, food and libations from at least three

stages keeping the crowds entertained.

It’s not the Galway  Festival in terms of numbers of this world but it gets in on you and when you missed a day or two

at  Bellewstown Festival you know you missed a bit of traditional craic and Irish hospitality

The hard-working committee must also come in for a clap on the back because they get it right most of the time.

They just can’t control the weather!

Son of the famous Belfast bookie Sean Graham, Brian Graham sums it up well on his Twitter tweet;

‘Congratulations on a wonderful 3 days…Great crowd on Saturday for the NH Card, Thursday & Friday

also well attended. Public WILL go racing if it is welcoming & affordable’

See below some of the fun pics on Friday evening.

Thanks for the pics to Bernie McGarrity, Swords, Co. Dublin and her friend are regular patrons of the track.

She just can’t miss it.
