Thanks to all Meath Councillors in supporting my motion at yesterday’s July Meath County Council meeting regarding the current lunacy of leaving Dunboyne Train Station car park empty – a section of €130 million of infrastructure left to rot.
While plenty of the county’s residents hope the trainline can be extended to Dunshaughlin and then onto Navan if the first section into the county’s trainline isn’t functioning efficiently, what hope do we have of an extension as Irish Rail and the NTA continue to hinder the ability of the people of Meath to use this train service?
Also, Irish Rail and the NTA continue to fail to market this service and the majority of the county’s residents still are unaware that you can now connect from Dunboyne to all LUAS services at Broombridge. There is very little known of this connectivity on this multimillion infrastructure from Dunboyne across Dublin City.
