Meath County Council has announced that the Millennium Bridge in Trim will shortly be demolished as it has been deemed structurally unsound.
The Council also says the bridge cannot be repaired and alternative pedestrian access is available via Castle Street.
Emergency works will now be carried and some minor disruption will be caused in the area as the bridge is demolished. Local garden centre close by will not be effected.
