Gardai are determined to weed out the dastardly duo with green fingers who stole a flower pot from a garden in Navan.
Meath Crime Prevention, the Facebook page for the Gardai in the Royal County posted on Monday
‘Navan GardaĆ are investigating the theft of this concrete flower pot that was taken from the Leighsbrook area of Navan on Friday night last between 9 pm and 9.30 pm.
2 males in a white Berlingo-style van were seen in the area. Anyone who may have noticed these males or this vehicle are asked to please contact Navan Garda Station on 046 9036100.’
They even accompanied it with a photo of the missing pot!
And they have been the subject of much social media slagging since.
A John Murphy posted ‘Here’s a picture of the chief suspects’ alongside a photo of Bill and Ben the two puppets from the old BBC series The Flowerpot men!

And a Garda spokesperson confirmed they are determined to solve the mystery, they said,
‘GardaĆ attended an incident of theft that occurred at private premises at approximately 9 pm on Friday, the 26thĀ of August 2022 from the Leighsbrook area of Navan, Co Meath.
‘A concrete flower stand was removed from the premises in the course of this incident.
‘No arrests have been made. Investigations ongoing’
