Its back ! The community of South Meath and surrounds can avail of the Commnity Recycling Day next Saturday,17th September.

The driving force behind the event Cllr. Joe Bonner and his team advises people to come early to the Ashbourne Commuity Centre.

“We will be open from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on the day. It is always a busy day and we expect a lot of people to avail of the recyling

facilities that will be available on the day.”

So if you have bulky household recycable waste, electrical waste, cofidentail shredding ,compost, etc you can avail of the service.

This will be the 18th year of the event and in the past there has been thousands of people who make use of the event.

Bonner points out ” We have people coming from all over the south of the county, obviously Ashbourne,Rotaoth and Dunshaughlin.

but we also see people comimg from Ardcath,Bettystown, Laytown,Duleek even from north county Dublin.”

Minimal charges apply and there is great voluntary support to help make the event happen.

So well has it done in the past it was actually won a national award for Ashbourne Community Recycling Day.
