Bettystown based Fairer Fares campaigner and Fine Gael councillor Sharon Tolan has accused the government of missing an opportunity by not including the extension of the Short Hop Zone in Budget 2023.
The Balbriggan native says she’s deeply disappointed that it’s not been included as part of the transport measures announced yesterday.
She says the fare disparity is absolutely crippling for local rail users who commute to Dublin from east county stations.
