It may be Ireland’s most iconic rock concert venue but Slane Castle is quietly gaining a reputation as a location for all sorts of movies.
Recently it staged a reinaction of Braveheart for the Slane GFC Oscarz night and since that it has seen a big budget production of a Disney Movie set up there.
The Big House, a film starring Colombian actress, Isabella Gomez.
The romantic comedy is to be released in December and from posts on her Instagram page the South American leading lady was quite taken by the venue.
Underneath the picture above, taken at night time outside the castle, Gomez wrote, ‘Filming in a literal castle. No biggie, super chill, very not haunted (not pictured is the gorgeous, gorgeous gown I got to frolic in like a real life Disney princess, but just u wait).’
