Gardaí have advised car and van owners to lock their doors when parked overnight.
It comes after a number of vehicle thefts in the coastal region of the county, which happened over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
In a spate of incidents vehicles were targeted in Corballis, Coney Hall and The Wood, Inse Bay areas of Laytown between 9pm and 12:30am last Sunday and Monday nights.
