A gang leader, who is based in Gormanston, is seriously ill in a Welsh hospital and has been unable to stand trial on a kidnappping charge.

Cornelius Price, and Drogheda man, Mark Kavanagh are among of number of people charged with two counts of conspiring to falsely imprison Muhammed and Shah Ali in July 2019, as well as two counts of conspiring to blackmail both men.

Darren McClean, Danny Bridges and Lisa Finnerty and Quincy Bramble are  all charged with the kidnap of Muhammed Ali on July 8, 2020.#

Price, (40), has been diagnosed with limbic encephalitis, an autoimmune condition, and remained seriously ill in hospital.

So far the trial has heard  claims that the two Ali brothers were blindfolded, threatened with bullets to the head and having their fingers sliced off as they were held at a caravan site at Smithy Fen, Cambridgeshire.
