Permanent TSB bank is  to take over the Ulster Bank branch in Trim.

In a statement PTSB revealed it intends investing €2 million in its takeover of the existing Ulster Bank branches in Ardee and Trim, as the Ulster bank prepares to leave the Irish market.

They’ll both feature full cash services, while local staff already working at the Ulster Bank branches will be kept on.

PTSB say the branches will be back open under their name in late January or early February, after Ulster Bank closes them on January 6th.

The bank already has branches in Drogheda, Dundalk, Navan and Ashbourne.
