Oldcastle’s singing priest, Fr Ray Kelly, is aiming to crack the Eurovision, and has submitted a song to the Irish song contest, hoping to qualify for next years event in Liverpool.

The cleric who stormed the charts with his version of Hallelujah and even performed on hit RTEĀ  show, Dancing With The Stars, and wrote his new tune in the Austrian town of Innsbruck.

He told the Irish Mirror, ‘I was over in Innsbruck there. We sent one in to represent Ireland in the Eurovision last year but it didn’t make it so we sent another one in this year.

ā€œIt’s a great song too. It’s something I’d love to do.

ā€œIt’s a song about our conscience and if we listen to it, we can decide on our good and bad. I think it’s a good song, it’s almost like a semi-country song.

ā€œWe made a video of it, and we’ll probably release thatĀ  in the new year.

ā€œI probably haven’t a hope anyway.

ā€œI know it’ll never happen, but it is just one of my dreams, we’re all entitled to have our dreams.ā€
