Fianna Fáil Councillor Stephen McKee has welcomed the commencement of work on the footpath extension from the old entrance to the GAA pitch in Duleek to the entrance of the new community facility.
McKee maintains he’s lobbied hard for this footpath to be included on the local scheme of works and is delighted that work has started on it under Meath County Council’s Active Travel initiative.
He is convinced the extension of the footpath up the Navan Road will enable children and families to safely walk from the village directly up to the new community facility, making it more accessible for everyone.
