TheĀ 37-year-old Lithuanian woman charged with the murder of a Polish man in Navan last weekend was further remanded in custody when she appeared before Trim District Court this morning.

Sandra Sandaraite of Academy Street, Navan was originally charged when she appeared before a special sitting of Navan District Court on Monday,12th Dec.

Sandaraite who used the services of a Lithuanian interpreter is accused of murdering Zbigniew Czech (47) at an address at Academy Street, Navan last Saturday night.

Today sheĀ appeared via video link and her barrister James Oā€™Brien said his client had agreed to be further remanded in custody.

Judge Cormac Dunne then put the case back to the same court on January 12th next.

When GardaĆ­ responded to an emergency call last Saturday night they discovered the body of Mr Czech on the stairwell of an apartment just off the Navan to Dublin road.

The previous hearing heard from Detective Garda Raynond Smith that whne charged with his murder Sandaraite replied, ‘No’
