The East Meath Defibrillator Unit hasĀ worked to ensure a new community defibrillator has been installed outside the Westcourt Hotel in Drogheda.
The unit put a huge effort into the project andĀ the installation comes exactly two years after one of the group’s members suffered a cardiac arrest and was saved by a defibrillator and some sharp thinking by members of the public.
The group has since installed around 25 defibrillators in the East Meath area and now plans to run training workshops in the new year.
