ONE THIRD OF COUNCIL PLANNING REFUSALS OVERTURNED ON APPEAL

33% of planning applications that were turned down by Meath County Council in 2021 were overturned on appeal.

The council approved 78% of all applications and turned down 22% a third of which were subsequently overturned figures from the Planning Regulators office have shown.

The approval rate was down from the national average of 88.5%
