Meath Live sent the following question to Meath County Council earlier today.
In light of Damien English resigning after admitting an error on his planning application, KA802521, in 2008, will MCC, now initiate an investigation into the granting of planning approval in this case ?
We print the reply below with no further comment except to say the question has not been answered.
‘All planning applications are accessed in accordance with national, regional, and local policy and ministerial guidelines that are in operation at the time of the decision.
 ‘Once a final grant of planning permission is issued, the role of the planning authority is to ensure compliance with the conditions of the planning permission.
 ‘It has been and continues to be the policy of the Council not to comment on any aspect of individual planning applications.’
