An upset young mum has told Meath Live how she was left shaken and shocked after three men verbally abused her and her special needs son and one of them spat out his chewing gum and threw it at her in broad daylight in Navan last Monday,(30/1/23).
Melanie said, ‘Coming through alleyway at Dunnes Stores I noticed three men converged at the entrance, I had Rhys with me, as we went past one of them made a remark and one threw chewing gum at me while they all laughed.
‘It was over in a blink but intimidating to say the least especially in the daytime. I didn’t report as I just wanted to get home. My son was with me, he’s 18 today, (Wednesday),but has special needs and so it shocked him too.’
