A food closure order was served on a Chinese takeaway in Co. Meath last month.

The order was issued by the Food Safety Authority (FSA) after an inspector observed a live rodent in the kitchen of the Happy Valley Chinese Takeaway on Main Street in Duleek.

The FSA says evidence of rodent activity may pose a risk to health if food and food surfaces become contaminated with pathogenic bacteria.

The order was issued on January 23rd and lifted three days later.
