Gardaí are investigating an arson attack in Moneymore estate in Drogheda.
Fire fighters were called to the scene around a quarter past one this morning.
It’s understood the front door of a home had been set alight, but the occupants of the house managed to get out safely.
No injuries were reported and the scene is being preserved for a technical examination.
A Garda spokesman told Meath Live, ‘Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at a residence in Moneymore, Drogheda, Co. Louth at approximately 1:20am in the early hours of Monday 20th February 2023.
‘There were no injuries reported.
‘The scene of the fire was preserved for technical examination. Enquiries are ongoing.’
