Revenue has seized over €52,000 worth of illicit drugs in Co. Meath.

The 95 kilos of chewing tobacco were discovered with the assistance of detector dog, Toby during the search of a commercial premises in the county last Friday.

The illicit tobacco originated in Belgium and was destined for an address in Dublin.

Separately, Revenue officers seized over two kilos of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €42,000 at Dublin Port today.

The illegal drugs were discovered in a parcel that had originated in France and was destined for an address in Balbriggan.
