A firm of Celtic Tiger restaurateur Marcus Sweeney has agreed to hand over lands in Co. Meath as part of a case brought by the Criminal Assets Bureau.
Mr. Justice Alexander Owens previously said a compelling case was made that the site at Waynestown outside Dunboyne was acquired by EWM Property Holdings Limited with the proceeds of crime
The court was yesterday told EWM was consenting to an order for CAB’s receiver to take possession of the site.
Mr. Sweeney previously ran a high-end restaurant on South William Street in Dublin and had a relationship with model Katy French, who died following a cocaine overdose in 2007.
